It seems that SUVs have become the target of many environmental movements and organizations during the last years, one of which is the well known Greenpeace. The later, made a big demonstration outside the premises of this year's Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) against all
SUVs. Greenpeace and other environmental organizations consider that all SUVs, especially those with internal combustion engines but also the hybrid ones, pollute the air more than small cars, as they are heavier, with poor aerodynamics. Those two characteristics are responsible for higher levels of emissions that are released in the atmosphere.
Apart from the outside protest, there were also kiosks inside the exhibition, positioned near many great auto industries, with the same theme of banning SUVs in favour of small electric cars.
