The Volvo brand was related to family
saloons and especially wagon models. Nowadays, as the Swedish car company
member of the Chinese Geely Group is heading towards the electrification era,
almost their entire available model collection consists from SUVs. It seems
that maybe that is going to change in the coming years. During a recent
interview that Volvo’s CEO Jim Rowan gave to the British Autocar, he was asked if saloons and wagons will play again a part some part in company’s
future model portfolio. Mr. Rowan gave a vague answer stating that "Our
strategy is that we will be tight. We’ll look after the demographic that we
think makes sense. We’ve teased what’s coming next, and we’d already signaled
we’d do a smaller SUV. Then different formats, saloons and estates or whatever:
